Energy Cost Calculators is a free set of calculators and data pages that help U.S. households estimate what energy costs: electricity, heating and cooling, EV charging and home solar. It is part of calculators.im.

Who runs this site

The site is operated by calculators.im.Content is edited by Anh Quan.

Our principles

• Real data only. Every price on the site comes from a public dataset, mainly the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). We never estimate or fill in missing prices.
• Published formulas. Each calculator shows its formula and the assumptions it uses. All assumptions are listed on the methodology page and can be changed in the calculator.
• Sources and dates on every table. Each table and chart shows its source and the period the data covers.
• Automatic quality checks. Data is validated before publication. If a check fails, the previous data stays live and nothing is published.

How the site is funded

The site is free to use and is supported by advertising (Google AdSense). Advertisers have no influence over our data, formulas or rankings. Ads are never placed inside calculator inputs.
